The Smart Contract for Real World Contracts
Register. Tokenize. Automate. Verify.
Your Document's Permanent Blockchain Identity
A Document Record is the permanent, immutable entry that represents your document on the blockchain. When you register a document with Integra, you create a Document Record—a cryptographic proof that your document existed in its exact form at a specific moment in time.
Unlike traditional records that can be altered, lost, or disputed, a Document Record is mathematically permanent. The blockchain provides tamper-proof storage that no single party can modify. Your document's existence and integrity become provable facts, not claims.
The integraHash: Unique Document Identity
Every Document Record is identified by its integraHash—a unique cryptographic fingerprint derived from:
- The SHA-256 hash of your document content
- Your ownership address
- Registration parameters
This integraHash is deterministic (the same inputs always produce the same hash) and unique (no two documents can share the same integraHash). It serves as your document's permanent blockchain address—a reference point that anyone can use to verify authenticity.
What a Document Record Contains
Each Document Record stores essential metadata while preserving document privacy:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| integraHash | Unique identifier for this document |
| documentHash | SHA-256 hash proving document content |
| referenceHash | Encrypted pointer to document storage |
| owner | Blockchain address with control authority |
| tokenizer | Smart contract authorized to create tokens |
| executor | Delegated operator (optional) |
| resolvers | Attached service contracts |
| processHash | Workflow correlation identifier |
| timestamp | Block timestamp of registration |
The document itself is never stored on-chain—only these cryptographic proofs and references. Your sensitive content remains completely private.

Cryptographic Hash (integraHash)
Your document's unique blockchain identifier, computed from document content and registration parameters. This 32-byte hash serves as the permanent reference for all operations—verification, tokenization, and integration. Deterministic and unique, the integraHash is your document's on-chain address.
Immutable Timestamp
The exact block timestamp when your document was registered, providing cryptographic proof of existence at a specific moment. This timestamp cannot be backdated or altered—the blockchain enforces chronological integrity. Essential for proving document priority and establishing audit trails.
Ownership Address
The blockchain address that controls the Document Record. The owner can attach resolvers, authorize tokenizers, and transfer document ownership. Ownership is transparent and verifiable—anyone can confirm who controls a document without accessing the document itself.
Optional Metadata Fields
Additional fields for integration and extensibility: processHash for enterprise workflow correlation, executor for delegated operations, and resolver references for attached services. These optional fields enable sophisticated enterprise integrations without compromising core document identity.
Record Features
Stop worrying about document fraud. We've got you covered.
Permanently Immutable
Once created, a Document Record's core identity cannot be modified by anyone—including Integra. The integraHash and documentHash are permanently sealed on the blockchain. This immutability provides the legal certainty that courts, regulators, and auditors require.
Precisely Timestamped
Every record includes the exact block timestamp of registration, providing nanosecond-level proof of when your document was registered. This timestamp is enforced by blockchain consensus—no party can claim an earlier registration without the cryptographic proof to back it up.
Independently Verifiable
Any party can verify a Document Record without trusting Integra or the document owner. Hash the document, query the blockchain, compare results. This trustless verification is the foundation of cryptographic proof—mathematics, not promises.
Easily Shareable
Share your document's integraHash to enable instant verification by any counterparty. They don't need an Integra account, API access, or special permissions. The blockchain is public—verification is open to everyone with the hash and the document.
How to Use Records
Create Your Record
Upload your document to generate its unique Document Record. The SHA-256 hash is computed locally in your browser—your document never leaves your device. Submit the registration transaction to permanently record your document's identity on the blockchain.
Receive Your integraHash
Upon successful registration, you receive your document's integraHash—the permanent blockchain identifier. Store this hash securely; it's the key to all future verification and tokenization operations. The hash is also queryable from the blockchain using your address.
Share for Verification
Provide the integraHash to any counterparty who needs to verify your document. They can independently hash your document and compare to the on-chain record. Verification happens in under one second, anywhere in the world, without any API or account.
Maintain Complete Audit Trail
Every interaction with your Document Record is permanently logged on the blockchain. Track ownership changes, resolver attachments, and tokenization events. This complete audit trail satisfies regulatory requirements and provides court-admissible proof of document history.
Use Cases
Compliance Audit Trails
Create permanent proof of document existence for regulatory compliance. Financial institutions, healthcare providers, and legal firms use Document Records to prove exactly what documents existed at specific moments. Auditors verify directly against the blockchain.
Legal Evidence Submission
Document Records provide court-admissible cryptographic proof of document integrity. Prove that a contract existed before a dispute arose, demonstrate that terms weren't altered, or establish the timeline of document exchanges with mathematical certainty.
Certification Proof
Professional certifications, academic credentials, and compliance attestations become instantly verifiable. Issue a credential, register it as a Document Record, and any employer or institution can verify authenticity without calling your registrar.
Regulatory Filings
Register regulatory submissions to prove exact content at filing time. If questions arise about what was submitted, the Document Record provides cryptographic proof that cannot be disputed—the hash either matches or it doesn't.
